Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated Junior Architect Engineer to join our Architectural Consultancy / Real Estate Development team in the UAE. The role involves supporting senior architects and engineers in the design, coordination, and documentation of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects, ensuring compliance with UAE authorities regulations and project standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior architects in developing architectural concepts, detailed drawings, and design packages
- Prepare architectural drawings (plans, sections, elevations, details) using AutoCAD and Revit
- Support design coordination with structural, MEP, and interior design teams
- Ensure drawings comply with UAE building codes and local authority requirements (DM, DDA, Trakhees, ADM, etc.)
- Assist in preparing submissions for authority approvals and client presentations
- Participate in site visits, inspections, and coordination meetings with contractors and consultants
- Review shop drawings and material submittals under supervision
- Implement design revisions based on client, authority, or project management feedback
- Maintain proper documentation and drawing records as per consultancy standards
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering
- 13 years of experience in the UAE
- Previous experience with a consultancy or real estate developer is an advantage
- Knowledge of UAE construction practices and materials is preferred
Technical Skills
- Proficient in AutoCAD (mandatory)
- Working knowledge of Revit (BIM) is highly preferred
- Familiarity with SketchUp, Lumion, Enscape, or similar visualization tools is an advantage
- Basic understanding of BIM coordination and workflows
- MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Knowledge & Competencies
- Understanding of UAE building codes, zoning regulations, and authority approval processes
- Basic knowledge of construction detailing and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and design accuracy
- Ability to work under supervision and meet project deadlines
Soft Skills
- Good communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus)
- Team-oriented with a proactive attitude
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced consultancy environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
