Role Description This part-time remote Junior Data Engineer role at BET CES/CET/MEP focuses on supporting the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and infrastructure. The Junior Data Engineer will assist in building and optimizing ETL processes, integrating data from various sources, and ensuring data quality and reliability across systems. The role involves collaborating with senior engineers and analysts to model data structures, maintain data warehouses, and prepare datasets for reporting and analytics. Daily tasks include troubleshooting data issues, documenting data flows, and contributing to improvements in data architecture, performance, and security.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess foundational skills in Data Engineering, including working with data pipelines, data integration, and data infrastructure.
Candidates should possess skills in Data Modeling to design, structure, and optimize datasets for reporting and analytics.
Candidates should possess skills in Extract Transform Load (ETL) and Data Warehousing for building, maintaining, and improving data storage and processing solutions.
Candidates should possess skills in Data Analytics to interpret data, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
Basic proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (such as Python or Java) is beneficial.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and data tools (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar) is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently in a remote environment are required.
An associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
