The key function of this role is to support project tenders from initial review through final quotation to ensure maximum Eaton content that meets the needs of the project.

The Junior Electrical Tender Engineer will be a critical player in helping Eaton deliver winning, profitable bids that have a clear scope of work with accurate technical and commercial commitments under the supervision of the Strategic Projects Tendering Team Leader.

This role will require interpreting the technical packages (drawings, specifications) to identify where Eaton's offers fit and to ensure alignment including agreed CDE's (Comply-Deviate-Exceptions) for all the technical aspects of a tender.

This role will be office based (Hybrid Model) and require good communications and organization of work to serve a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders while meeting agreed turnaround times.

This individual should be aware of electrical infrastructure, have worked in and around large projects, and understand the types of challenges these present.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Analyse incoming RFQs (Request for Quotation) from customers.
  • Determine Eaton product fit (across all possible solutions) and assess the ability to meet customer requirements by interpreting tender documents and clarifying details with both customers and internal product support teams.
  • Ensure Eaton's offer aligns technically with customer specifications.
  • Prepare and complete CDE (Comply, Deviate, Exception) documentation, ensuring the final offer reflects all agreed deviations and technical requirements.
  • Coordinate with sales, applications engineers, consultants, product owners, and the wider tender team to build competitive, compelling bids that instill customer confidence.
  • Assist with costing and pricing according to standard processes and tools.
  • Support the development and review of offer documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with what is being proposed and the customer's needs.
  • Ensure equipment specifications fully meet customer requirements and project needs.
  • Meet agreed tender timelines and keep stakeholders informed about progress, risks, and potential constraints.
  • Support or perform technical risk and opportunity analysis for each tender.
  • Prepare for tender review meetings to ensure alignment with all stakeholders on strategic projects.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor/Masters (BSc/MSc) Degree, or Equivalent in a related field (Electrical & Electronic Engineering)
  • Minimum of 2 years of engineering and design experience of electrical distribution systems networks with a Services & Projects business within large scale installation for Commercial & Industrial type projects.
  • Data Centre or similar critical power system experience strongly desirable.

Skills


  • Primary & Secondary electrical power.
  • Power Distribution Systems and components design and requirements for MV and LV.
  • Uninterruptible Power Supplies and/or backup power strongly desired.
  • Eaton or similar industry product portfolio (Switchgear, LV assemblies, UPS, etc.).
  • Automation (e.g. SCADA, other control systems) knowledge for Design Configuration & Commissioning a strong plus.
  • Strong technical (electrical) and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving objectives and solving problems.
  • Strong collaboration, interpersonal communication, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to negotiate and drive alignment on technical designs.
  • Customer / people skills.
  • Fluent English.
  • Intercultural awareness.
  • A high level of personal integrity and ethics and commitment to doing business right.
