Junior Estimation Engineer

Fibrixa is looking for a Junior Estimation Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will support the estimation department in preparing cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and assisting in tender submissions. This role is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, technically sound, and eager to grow in the field of project estimation and cost analysis.

Role Description

This full-time, on-site Estimation Engineer position is based in Umm Al Quwain. The role involves preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and detailed project cost estimations, analyzing project specifications, and conducting market research to ensure accurate pricing. The Estimation Engineer will coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams, and actively participate in negotiations to achieve cost-effective solutions. They will also ensure compliance with project requirements and support project planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing project cost estimates and quotations
• Review project drawings, specifications, and BOQs to understand scope of work
• Support the preparation of tender documents and bid submissions
• Coordinate with procurement, production, and project teams for pricing and technical inputs
• Prepare quantity take-offs and cost calculations
• Assist in cost comparison and vendor quotation analysis
• Maintain proper documentation of estimates, BOQs, and project records
• Support the senior estimation team in budget planning and project costing

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
• 13 years of experience in estimation, quantity surveying, or project costing
• Basic knowledge of construction drawings and BOQ preparation
• Familiarity with estimation processes and tender documentation
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and AutoCAD
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
