Junior Estimator - Interior design for residential & villas

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our interior design and fit-out team in Dubai. The successful candidate will support the preparation of accurate cost estimates, quotations, BOQs, and material take-offs for residential properties, apartments, townhouses, and luxury villas.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of interior fit-out works, materials, quantities, and construction methods, with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn and develop within the estimation and commercial function.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take-offs for interior fit-out and villa projects.
• Prepare and maintain Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
• Assist in preparing project cost estimates and client quotations.
• Obtain and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Check material specifications, quantities, rates, and inclusions/exclusions.
• Prepare RFQs and follow up with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing.
• Assist the Senior Estimator/Estimator with tender submissions.
• Analyze drawings and specifications to identify scope requirements.
• Identify missing information, discrepancies, and potential variations in project scope.
• Assist in estimating:
• Civil and architectural works
• Gypsum and partition works
• Flooring and wall finishes
• Painting and decorative finishes
• Joinery and custom furniture
• Kitchens and wardrobes
• Doors and ironmongery
• False ceilings
• Glass and mirrors
• Sanitary fixtures
• Electrical and lighting works
• MEP-related interior works
• Soft furnishings and accessories
• Maintain an updated database of supplier/subcontractor rates.
• Assist with value engineering and cost-saving proposals.
• Coordinate with the design, procurement, project management, and site teams.
• Assist in preparing variation and additional-work quotations.
• Maintain proper records of estimates, quotations, BOQs, and supporting documents.
• Ensure estimates are prepared accurately and submitted within deadlines.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in estimation, quantity surveying, or interior fit-out.
• UAE/Dubai interior fit-out experience is preferred.
• Experience with residential interiors and villas is highly desirable.
• Good understanding of interior finishing materials, construction methods, and installation requirements.
• Good knowledge of quantity take-off and BOQ preparation.
• Familiarity with UAE suppliers, subcontractors, and local material pricing is an advantage.
