Role Overview
The Junior FF&E Designer supports the development, specification, and delivery of furniture, fixtures, and equipment packages across hospitality, residential, and mixed-use projects. The role combines creative input with technical coordination, ensuring design intent is translated into well-documented, buildable, and commercially viable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
FF&E Design Development
- Assist in developing FF&E concepts aligned with overall project design intent and client requirements.
- Prepare mood boards, material boards, and high-quality presentation packages.
- Research and propose appropriate furniture, lighting, finishes, fabrics, and accessories.
Specification & Documentation
- Prepare and maintain detailed FF&E schedules and specification manuals.
- Ensure all specifications are accurate, coordinated, and aligned with project standards and budgets.
- Organize and maintain sample boards, and supplier databases.
Sourcing & Supplier Coordination
- Source furniture, materials, lighting, and finishes from local and international suppliers.
- Liaise with vendors to obtain quotations, samples, lead times, and technical documentation.
Technical Coordination
- Assist in reviewing CAD layouts to ensure FF&E integration is accurate and coordinated.
Project Delivery & Coordination
- Collaborate with technical delivery team (architecture, MEP, project management) to ensure seamless integration of FF&E packages.
- Monitor compliance with design standards, budgets, and project timelines.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
- 24 years of experience in FF&E design within a reputable interior design or consultancy environment.
- Proven experience in preparing FF&E specification manuals and schedules.
- Exposure to international and regional brands (furniture, sanitary ware, lighting, and finishes).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Strong command of English (written and spoken).
