Junior Geologist

Experience Required: Minimum 2 years

Reporting Line: Reports to Senior Engineering Geologist

Work Location: Fieldbased (100%)

Job Responsibilities

(Other duties may be assigned as required)

Perform CPT testing and Field Vane Shear test on site.

Carry out field tests including but not limited to:

o Standard Penetration Test (SPT)

o Rock coring

o Field CBR testing

o Field permeability testing

o Plate Load Test

o Electrical resistivity testing

Prepare field borehole logs and trial pit logs.

Supervise drilling crews and field laborers to ensure work is conducted as per

specifications and schedule.

Prepare borehole logs and crosssections using gINT software.

Monitor and ensure compliance with HSE regulations and protection measures

during drilling operations, particularly in Oil & Gas projects.

Coordinate field activities to ensure timely and accurate data collection.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in Geology or a related scientific discipline from a recognized

university.

Minimum 2 years of experience in geotechnical fieldwork.

Experience in Oil & Gas geotechnical projects is an advantage.

Proficiency in gINT software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Strong English language skills (written and verbal).

Ability to communicate effectively via email and written reports.

Willingness and physical ability to work fulltime in the field.
