Job Description

Purpose

Perform credit investigations for all clients applications and ensure a timely and thorough cross-checking of the applicants information and credit worthiness.

Responsibilities

  1. Assess business and industry risks for credit applications.
  2. Work closely with his direct manager to establish and update the policies and guidelines for the credit investigation process.
  3. Monitor the market on a daily basis and inform his direct manager of any relevant market changes or new regulations from the Central Bank of Egypt.
  4. Conduct field visits to the clients premises to assess the financial and operational situation of the business.
  5. Interview, correspond with and collect feedback from the clients external stakeholders (suppliers, clients and competitors), industry experts and other financial institutions (as applicable) to assess and determine the clients financial strength, reputation and ability to repay debts regularly.
  6. Analyze information gathered through the investigation and report findings and recommendations.
  7. Ensure proper coordination with concerned internal parties (primarily Credit Analysis and Credit Risk) and external parties (e.g. other financial institutions) to ensure timely completion of the credit investigation process.
  8. Ensure compliance with the firms policies and procedures.
  9. Ensure compliance with all applicable AML/CTF rules and regulations as required in the conduct of your role.
  10. Ensure timely completion of all relevant AML/CTF training provided by the Group.
  11. Ensure response to AML, CTF & sanctions inquiries in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

  1. Bachelors degree in any discipline.
  2. 0-2 years experience in a similar role.
  3. Experience in background screenings and the investigation process.
  4. Good interviewing, and, where necessary, interrogation skills.
  5. Good documentation skills.
  6. Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel and Power point).
  7. Strong analytical skills; independent judgment decisions in a timely manner.
  8. Excellent command of Arabic and English.
  9. Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and listening).
  10. Able to build partnerships and work well in teams.
  11. Can identify problems and refer/escalate complex issues to a higher level.
  12. Multi-tasker, with the ability to meet changing deadlines, and to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
  13. Attention to details; ensure deliverables are always of a high quality.
