Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed lighting design drawings and schematics based on project specifications, using AutoCAD, Dialux, or similar drafting software.
- Collaborate with lighting designers and engineers to ensure accurate representation of lighting plans and technical requirements.
- Produce 2D and 3D renderings of lighting layouts and ensure proper integration with architectural and interior designs.
- Calculate and document photometric data for lighting placements to meet project specifications.
- Update and maintain project documentation throughout the design and installation phases, including revisions and updates to drawings.
- Ensure compliance with lighting codes and standards, including safety and efficiency requirements.
- Communicate with project stakeholders to address design adjustments and troubleshoot potential issues.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Diploma or associate degree in drafting, architecture, electrical engineering, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a draftsman in lighting, architecture, or MEP industries.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Dialux, SketchUp, or other CAD and lighting simulation software.
- Knowledge of Lighting Standards: Familiarity with lighting design principles, photometrics, color temperature, and lumen output requirements.
- Attention to Detail: Strong detail-oriented skills to ensure accuracy in all designs and calculations.
- Communication Skills: Ability to work collaboratively within a team and effectively communicate with designers, engineers, and project managers.
