Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Junior Logistics Specialist, based in Riyadh with some work-from-home flexibility. Responsibilities include monitoring and managing supply chain processes, coordinating export activities, and providing exceptional customer service. The specialist will also analyze logistics data to improve operations and ensure seamless communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Load Planning & Optimization
Plan and build trailer loads according to shipment requirements, weight limits, and route schedules.
Optimize trailer cube and weight distribution to maximize efficiency and reduce transportation costs.
Determine the correct sequence of loading to ensure proper unloading at destinations.
2. Coordination & Communication
Work closely with warehouse pickers, forklift operators, and dispatchers to ensure accurate and timely loading.
Communicate load plans and any special handling instructions clearly to the loading team.
Coordinate last-minute changes based on customer or transportation updates.
3. Safety & Compliance
Ensure loads comply with DOT regulations, company safety policies, and weight restrictions.
Verify stability and securement of all freight before trailer departure.
Identify and report damaged, unsafe, or noncompliant freight.
