Prepare accurate MEP cost estimates based on tender drawings, specifications, and commercial requirements
Perform detailed quantity take-offs across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring alignment with pre-contract deliverables
Review tender documentation to identify scope gaps, risks, and cost-sensitive elements
Develop BOQs, pricing schedules, and cost breakdowns with consistency and audit-ready structure
Support preparation of tender submissions, clarifications, and post-tender negotiations.
Source, evaluate, and level supplier and subcontractor quotations to support competitive submissions
Liaise with engineering and design teams to validate technical inputs, materials, and pricing assumptions
Contribute to value engineering exercises by assessing cost-efficient alternatives in line with project requirements
Maintain and update cost data, benchmarks, and estimation tools to support accuracy and consistency across bids
Assist in the preparation of tender submissions, clarifications, and internal commercial reviews
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (required)
35 years of experience in MEP estimation/tendering within a construction environment
Experience within the Middle East / GCC is strongly preferred due to project and market requirements
Demonstrated involvement in pre-contract commercial activities, including quantity take-offs and cost build-ups for MEP works
Practical knowledge of MEP systems, with proven ability to interpret drawings and derive accurate quantities and cost inputs
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, PlanSwift, and Bluebeam for drawing interpretation, quantity take-off, measurement, and extraction of relevant estimation data.
Experience in obtaining and evaluating supplier/subcontractor quotations
High attention to detail, with a structured and methodical approach to cost preparation
Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain assumptions and support commercial outputs
