Position Summary
The Junior Merchandise Planner at SQUATWOLF will support the Senior Merchandise Planner and the Merchandise Planning Manager in implementing the merchandise planning strategy for all channels (Retail, Ecommerce, Wholesale and Franchise) across all countries.
Key responsibilities
1. Business Analysis
- Support the monitoring and analysis of performance across different channels.
- Assist in maintaining and updating planning and reporting tools, including WSSI (weekly sale stock intake file).
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of data and reporting.
- Support ad hoc analysis as required by the Senior Planner and Manager.
2. Inventory Management & Trading strategy
- Monitor stock levels and sell-through performance across channels.
- Support inventory optimization initiatives and stock movement analysis.
- Assist in tracking promotional performance and inventory impact.
- Support demand creation initiatives through reporting and analysis.
3. Allocations & Key Events
- Support store and franchise allocations under guidance of the Senior Planner.
- Work closely with Ecom, Retail Sales and Franchise teams to support execution.
4. Cross Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Marketing teams on promotional activities and launches.
- Liaise with Buying and Merchandising teams to stay informed on product strategies and timelines.
Qualifications, Experience, Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Management, Engineering or a related field.
- 13 years of experience in merchandise planning, planning, allocation or a similar analytical role.
- Experience within fashion, retail or activewear is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel and planning tools.
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a merchandising planning function.
- Familiarity with fitness and activewear market trends.
