Position Overview We are seeking a motivated Junior Purchase Officer to join our procurement team and support all purchasing activities for our interior design projects. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in sourcing and procuring materials, furniture, fixtures, and finishes for interior design projects according to specifications
- Support vendor relationship management and communicate with suppliers regarding orders, pricing, and delivery schedules
- Prepare and process purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner
- Track and follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery to meet project deadlines
- Maintain organized records of purchases, supplier contacts, pricing, and product specifications
- Compare quotations from different vendors and prepare comparison reports
- Coordinate with senior purchase staff and design teams to understand material requirements
- Assist in maintaining inventory records and conducting stock checks
- Handle documentation related to procurement including invoices, delivery notes, and payment tracking
- Support in resolving minor issues related to orders, quality concerns, or delivery delays
- Conduct basic market research to identify potential suppliers and material options
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in interior design, furniture, construction, or related industries
- Basic knowledge of interior design materials, furniture, and finishes
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive attitude and willingness to learn
