Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior QA Engineer with 1–2 years of experience to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will assist in testing software applications, identifying bugs, and ensuring products meet quality standards before release.
Key Responsibilities
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely feedback
- Design, write, and execute test cases (manual and/or automated) based on functional and non-functional requirements
- Identify, document, and track bugs using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Bugzilla)
- Perform various types of testing: functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing
- Collaborate with developers to understand product requirements
- Verify bug fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure no new issues are introduced
- Assist in creating and maintaining test plans, test scripts, and test data
- Document test results and prepare clear, concise test reports
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in software QA/testing
- Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC (Software/Testing Life Cycle)
- Hands-on Experience on Mobile App Testing (Android/IOS)
- Hands-on Experience on Web Application Testing
- Knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and Appium.
- Basic Knowledge of Penetration Testing & Vulnerability Testing
- Basic exposure to AI-powered testing tools like Testim, Applitools, or mabl for visual/UI regression testing
- Basic understanding of bug life cycle and defect management
- Experience with at least one bug-tracking/test management tool (Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
- ISTBQ Certification – Foundation Level (CTFL)
- Basic SQL knowledge for backend/data validation
- Understanding of API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured)
- Exposure to version control systems (Git)
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Java, or JavaScript)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Experience testing web and/or mobile applications
- Basic understanding of performance testing concepts
