About the Job:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Sous Chef to join the pre-opening team of our new concept.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role include:

• Supervise kitchen section(s) to ensure tasks are completed according to standards, including stock management, portion control, food quality, and cleanliness.
• Prepare food for special orders, buffets, VIP parties, and other events as required, ensuring freshness and quality.
• Oversee and actively participate in delivering excellent service to guests, ensuring adherence to established standards and procedures.
• Conduct training sessions to develop team members knowledge and skills.
• Monitor team members grooming, hygiene, and compliance with safety regulations and SOPs, providing coaching and guidance as needed.
• Lead by example, supporting kitchen operations as needed and maintaining high standards of social skills with guests and colleagues.

About You:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• 3-5 years within the same role and position in a luxury resort or high-end restaurant.
• Proven leadership and team development skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and support colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
