Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Abu Dhabi for a Junior Sous Chef. The Junior Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes in accordance with the restaurant's standards. They will support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily operations, oversee kitchen staff, ensure quality and consistency in food preparation, and maintain kitchen safety and hygiene standards. The role also involves contributing to menu planning and developing new recipes.

Qualifications

  • Strong culinary skills, including proficiency in food preparation, cooking, and plating
  • Experience in menu planning, recipe development, and creating diverse dishes
  • Knowledge of food hygiene standards and kitchen safety protocols
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Previous experience in a culinary role, preferably in Asian cuisine, is highly desirable
  • A culinary arts degree or relevant professional certification is a plus
