As the company strengthens its position across the Kingdom's retail landscape, we are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Key Account Executive to ensure flawless in-store execution and reliable order collection across major Modern Trade retail partners.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Modern Trade Supervisor, the Key Account Executive is responsible for delivering flawless in-store execution across assigned Modern Trade stores. The role focuses on order collection, on-shelf availability, and the execution of store fundamentals as per account agreements – including planogram compliance, pricing accuracy, shelving and facings, promotional execution, and expiry management. It is a hands-on, store-based role and an excellent development opportunity for an ambitious professional looking to build a career in the Modern Trade channel within a leading FMCG business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Order Collection & Availability:
- Visit assigned Modern Trade stores as per the agreed journey plan and collect accurate orders to secure continuous product availability.
- Check stock levels on shelf and in the back store, raising replenishment orders to prevent out-of-stocks and lost sales.
- Ensure full distribution of the agreed product range and pack formats across each assigned store.
- Identify and secure opportunities to expand distribution, facings, and shelf presence at store level.
2. Store Fundamentals & Planogram Compliance:
- Ensure all store fundamentals are executed in line with account agreements, including planograms, shelving, facings, and product blocking.
- Verify that shelf layouts match the agreed planogram and correct any deviations during each store visit.
- Maintain clean, well-organized, and fully stocked shelves and displays that meet Al Rabie's merchandising standards.
- Secure and maintain agreed prime shelf positioning, secondary displays, and branded equipment placement.
3. Pricing & Promotion Execution:
- Ensure correct and up-to-date pricing and shelf tags on all Al Rabie products as per the agreed price list.
- Execute agreed promotions and activations accurately and on time, ensuring correct promotional pricing at shelf.
- Ensure promotional materials and branded displays are correctly installed and clearly visible to shoppers.
- Monitor competitor pricing and promotional activity in-store and report findings to the Modern Trade Supervisor.
4. Freshness & Expiry Management:
- Apply strict stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) on shelf and in the back store to guarantee product freshness for shoppers.
- Identify and remove near-expiry, expired, or damaged stock from the shelf, following the agreed returns and swap process.
- Track and report expiry risks and returns to the Modern Trade Supervisor to enable timely corrective action.
- Uphold Al Rabie's quality and freshness standards at every point of the store visit.
5. Customer Coordination & Store Relationships:
- Build strong day-to-day working relationships with store managers, section heads, and receiving staff to facilitate smooth execution.
- Handle routine store queries, order follow-ups, and delivery or service issues, escalating as needed to the Modern Trade Supervisor.
- Coordinate deliveries and returns with the store and supply chain to ensure continuous product availability.
- Follow up on outstanding actions and agreements to ensure timely resolution at store level.
6. Reporting & Asset Care
- Accurately record orders, visits, availability, pricing, and expiry data using the sales-force automation tool on every store visit.
- Provide daily field feedback on execution, out-of-stocks, and competitor activity to the Modern Trade Supervisor.
- Care for and safeguard company assets in-store, including branded chillers, display units, and merchandising equipment.
- Follow all company policies, trade agreements, and health & safety standards during store operations.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Experience:
- 2–4 years in Modern Trade, retail sales, or merchandising roles within FMCG.
- Hands-on experience with store-level execution and order collection, Food & Beverage preferred.
- KSA market experience (required)
- Valid KSA driving license (required)
- Skills & Attributes
- Good numerical skills with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using handheld / sales-force automation devices for order taking and reporting
- Well-organized, proactive, and able to manage a full store route each day
- Basic knowledge of merchandising and planogram principles
- Personal Attributes
- Hands-on, energetic, and comfortable spending the full day in stores
- Ambitious and eager to build a career in the Modern Trade channel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
