Key Account Manager - Health and Benefits

Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia

The on-site, Al Khobar based Key Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met and providing exceptional service. This role involves strategic planning, client relationship management, and coordination with internal teams to deliver tailored insurance solutions in the Kingdom and as a part of our global team.

Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business operations and risk profiles to recommend suitable insurance products.
  • Sales and Business Development: Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling additional insurance products. Actively seek new business opportunities to expand the client base.
  • Renewal Pipeline Management: Own and manage the renewal pipeline, ensuring timely follow‑up and proactive outreach, and link renewal activity to cross‑sell and retention targets in line with the role's revenue responsibility.
  • Account Management: Handle the renewal process, including reviewing existing coverage and suggesting updates. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordination with Internal Teams: Work closely with underwriting, claims, and other departments to ensure client needs are met and provide continuous support.
  • Market Analysis: Provide reports, presentations, and recommendations on market trends, customer trends, and competitors actions.
  • Problem Resolution: Assist clients in navigating the claims process and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Performance Metrics: Monitor and report on key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of account management strategies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Insurance, Risk Management, Risk Engineering or Actuarial
  • Minimum of 5-10 years experience - proven experience in account management, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Saudi National preferred
  • Fluency in English & Arabic is required
  • ECII, CII UK certifications, as well as the CPCU, CIC and CLU - preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools
