Job Description

What this job is really like:

This role leads the identification, development, and optimisation of sales opportunities and assigned existing accounts, to drive profitable revenue growth.

You primarily role is:

  1. to work with partners within the accounts to communicate and promote LIVA s proposition and contribute to the management of one or more accounts.
  2. to identify new partnership opportunities

You will spend your time visiting partners to develop a full understanding of their business and developing their understanding of the features and benefits propositions and identifying opportunities for sales. You will also spend some of your time working with internal stakeholders to coordinate & deliver great outcomes for partners. You will maintain and monitor account performance information, sharing this with your line manager and other colleagues to ensure business needs are met and sales opportunities maximised.

You will enjoy using your sales and communications skills to build effective relationships with account organisations to enable effective sales opportunities.

Key Requirements:

  • Your primary responsibility is to identify new partnership opportunities and facilitate partnership agreements with them and LIVA with the obejctive of growing profitable LIVA business within these new accounts through the identification, develoment and optimistation of sales opportunities.
  • Another of yoiur primary responsibility is to grow profitable LIVA business within assigned existing accounts through the identification, develoment and optimistation of sales opportunities.
  • Building and maintaining relationships within assigned accounts to thoroughly understand their strategy, culture, personalities, customer base and decision making and ensure they fully understand and are aware of the features and benefits of LIVA s propositions by organizing and conducting training programs.
  • Deliver, agree and maintain a yearly account plan for each allocated client to achieve sales strategy and targets
  • Ensuring effective delivery of account and business needs in line with account plans, sales objectives and P&L targets
  • Ensuring all regulatory trainings are conducted in a timely manner.
  • Collating, monitoring, analysing and deliverying account performance information to inform and support sales opportunity identification and ensure escalation of issues as required.
  • Proactively developing sales skills and market/business knowledge, apply best practice techniques and tools and demonstrate the Brand Beliefs to maximise your performance and exploit LIVA s investment in your training and development.
  • Working with Underwriting, Marketing etc to ensure effective delivery of account and business needs in line with account plans and sales objectives.
  • Achievement of annual sales targets set

  • Clear articulatiion of LIVA s risk appetite to intermediaries and customers
  • Feedback from LIVA sales and other colleagues

Jobholder Requirements

  • Reports to the Head of Partnerships
  • Ability to identify risks/ issues for assigned accounts towards providing solutions / client delivery.
  • Ability to propose recommendations/solutions while handling account issues.
  • Coordinating internal functions to deliver partner requirements.
  • Monitoring and managing account P&L
  • Responsible for profitable growth of new affinity relationships and development/ effective management of assigned affinity accounts.
  • Between 5 – 8 years experience in a customer facing environment.
  • Must possess relationship management, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to make underwriting decisions to avoid conflict.
  • Must have established strong Market networks
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of local insurance marketplace: intermediary structures/types, competitors, regulatory framework etc
