Key Accounts Manager

Reports To: General Manager

Our client specializes in architectural metalworks, custom steel fabrication and end-to-end engineering solutions. Renowned for delivering turnkey metal solutions, they blend exceptional design, precision manufacturing and seamless installation to transform commercial and industrial spaces. They are looking to onboard a seasoned Key Account Manager from the metal industry to grow key accounts and drive business expansion.

Position Overview

The Key Accounts Manager is responsible for supporting the company's strategic growth by driving sales and business development activities. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, managing key client accounts, and contributing to revenue growth through strategic planning, market analysis, and partnership development.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the development and execution of the department's strategic growth and business development plans.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through market, client, and industry research.
  • Achieve sales targets in line with approved budgets and agreed objectives.
  • Establish and manage sales territories, quotas, and performance goals.
  • Manage key client relationships and provide material sample approvals as required.
  • Analyse sales data to assess sales potential, customer preferences, and inventory requirements.
  • Monitor market conditions, customer trends, and competitor activity and recommend improvements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, due diligence, and valuations for potential business opportunities.
  • Support meetings and negotiations with clients and partners while protecting the company's commercial interests.
  • Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and project timelines with clients.
  • Support company growth through strategic partnerships and alliances.
  • Manage ongoing business development projects, ensuring milestones are achieved on time.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the General Manager on sales, marketing, and business development activities.
  • Monitor industry trends and prepare market intelligence and investment reports.
  • Prepare and manage project cash flow forecasts.

Education, Experience, Skills & Competencies

Education / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • 610 years of experience in the architectural metalwork, custom steel fabrication or related engineering solutions.
  • Experience working in a multicultural business environment.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage a strong client pipeline.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong business development and key account management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • High level of flexibility, commitment, and professionalism.
