Kitchen Helper

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Kitchen Helper/Cleaner assists in maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen and coffee shop areas. This role ensures that all kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces are clean, organized, and in compliance with food safety standards. The role also includes helping with basic food preparation tasks to support kitchen operations..

RESPONSIBILITIES

Clean and sanitize all areas of the coffee shop, including the dining area, restrooms, kitchen, and storage spaces.

Assist with simple tasks such as chopping vegetables or preparing ingredients.

Stock supplies in the kitchen and storage areas.

Disinfect sinks, toilets, and other fixtures regularly.

Assist in cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances.

Dispose of waste and manage recycling according to shop policies.

Perform deep cleaning tasks at the end of the day, including floor scrubbing and kitchen sanitization.

Prepare the coffee shop for the next day's operations.

Work closely with other staff members to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.

Qualifications & Skills

Prior cleaning experience, preferably in a food service or hospitality environment.

Knowledge of cleaning products and best practices.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

Education & Experiences Required

Have a high school diploma.

At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Flexibility to work various shifts.
