Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Korean–Russian Translator role based in Aḑ Ḑab'ah. The translator will be responsible for accurately translating written and spoken materials between Korean and Russian, including technical documents, project reports, presentations, emails, and meeting notes. Daily tasks include supporting cross-functional teams with real-time interpretation during meetings, site visits, and conference calls, ensuring clear communication among Korean- and Russian-speaking stakeholders. The role also involves reviewing and revising translated content for consistency with technical terminology, project standards, and corporate guidelines. The translator will collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and operations teams to help prevent miscommunication and facilitate smooth project execution.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Korean and Russian, with excellent reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in both languages.
- Proven experience in translation and interpretation, preferably in technical, industrial, or energy-related contexts.
- Ability to understand and accurately convey technical terminology used in power generation, energy infrastructure, and large-scale projects.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to deliver precise, consistent translations under time constraints.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural, cross-functional teams.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple translation requests and prioritize urgent tasks.
- Proficiency with standard office software and basic familiarity with translation tools or terminology management systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, Translation, Korean/Russian Language, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
- Previous on-site work experience in industrial or construction environments is beneficial.
