In this role, you will be responsible to control the consistency and uniformity of finished products and raw material against the requirements specified in the batch cards and RMDS.

Here's some of the other things you can look forward to:

  • To maintain quality control data records.
  • To support QC lab of the production facility.
  • To maintain 6S activities in the lab consulting with Chemist/Lab manager.
  • To comply with E-Convention, QMS and EMS requirements.
  • Maintains inventory of lab supplies, stocks them when received, and request them when low.
  • Testing of the production batches to ensure the products are manufactured as per Hempel RD procedures and instruction within specification.
  • Recommend correction to production batches which are short of specification and ensure all tests are in line with Hempel procedures and ensure all parameters are approved within specification.
  • Assisting in testing of incoming raw materials as per incoming raw material procedure.
  • Maintain records of approved production batches in largo match for future reference.
  • Records and report deviated and defective batches to the reporting manager.
  • To ensure that a safe and healthy work environment exists by adhering to company health, safety and environment policies.
  • Maintain 6S activities in laboratory and retain sample area.
  • Approves Color Match and maintain records as per E-Convention.
  • To ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist team and reporting managers as and when required.
  • Performs other related job/task as required e.g., lab batch trial, LSR.

This role will be based in Sharjah (UAE) and will report into the Laboratory Manager.

Furthermore, we expect that you have

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, polymer/paint technology or related experience.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years experience in a manufacturing/quality control environment.
  • Computer skills (including MS office, Excel, Outlook) and other applications as required.
  • Communicating with co-workers to provide and receive the direction.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Must be able to work under pressure.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of Quality Control Techniques.
  • Positive attitude toward the work, able to work as a team member.
