Batterjee Medical College is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician – Anatomy Lab to support practical teaching activities within the General Medicine Program. The role focuses on preparing laboratory sessions, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and effective learning environment for students.
Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Teaching Support
- Prepare and set up anatomy lab sessions (models, specimens, tools, and materials)
- Assist faculty during practical sessions and demonstrations
- Support students in understanding anatomical structures and lab techniques
- Ensure proper handling and care of anatomical models and lab resources
Equipment & Lab Management
- Maintain, clean, and calibrate laboratory equipment
- Monitor lab inventory, consumables, and supplies
- Ensure readiness of lab materials for classes and assessments
- Maintain accurate records of equipment and inventory
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce laboratory safety protocols and infection control measures
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe handling of materials
- Conduct routine inspections to identify risks and maintain compliance with standards
Administrative & Coordination
- Maintain documentation (attendance, inventory, maintenance logs)
- Coordinate with faculty and academic departments for lab scheduling
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, Anatomy, Biomedical Sciences, or related field
- Experience working in anatomy labs, medical labs, or academic environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and safety procedures
- Familiarity with anatomical models and lab teaching support
- Good communication skills in Arabic and English
