Job Summary
The Landscape Architect must be an expert in designing and developing outdoor spaces, including gardens, parks, public squares, and open areas within urban development projects. They must have experience in creating design solutions that combine outdoor seating areas in public spaces with a diverse range of plants, while ensuring compliance with environmental standards and project requirements.
Main Responsibilities And Tasks
- Preparing preliminary and detailed designs for garden projects using approved engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Real-Time Landscape.
- Developing execution plans and material specifications for outdoor works (hardscape and softscape).
- Coordinating garden design elements with other engineering disciplines (architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical).
- Preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for all garden works, including sidewalks, seating areas, irrigation systems, and all their components, along with preliminary cost estimates for these items.
- Review and approve all landscaping materials in coordination with suppliers and contractors.
- Supervise the implementation of landscaping work on-site, including studying natural conditions, soil analysis, and climate.
- Prepare and submit periodic technical reports to management.
Qualifications And Requirements
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software.
- Strong knowledge of plant species, irrigation systems, and exterior finishing materials.
- Ability to prepare project documentation for landscaping, sidewalks, seating areas, and walkways.
- Strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills.
- Experience in urban design.
- Ability to create professional visual presentations.
- Sound understanding of sustainability and environmental principles.
- Analytical skills in site evaluation and developing innovative solutions.
