Job Summary:
The Landscape Draftsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings and plans for landscape projects based on design concepts provided by landscape architects. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation for project execution.
Key Responsibilities:Drafting & Design Support
- Prepare detailed 2D drawings (layout plans, planting plans, irrigation layouts, hardscape details)
- Convert conceptual designs into technical drawings
- Revise drawings based on feedback from architects and engineers
Technical Documentation
- Produce shop drawings, as-built drawings, and construction details
- Prepare material specifications and quantity take-offs
- Maintain proper documentation and version control
Software & Tools
- Use AutoCAD for drafting (primary tool)
- Support 3D visualization using SketchUp, Lumion, or similar tools (if required)
Coordination
- Work closely with landscape architects, engineers, and site teams
- Ensure drawings align with project requirements and site conditions
Compliance
- Follow local authority standards and guidelines (e.g., municipality regulations)
- Ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications
Requirements:- Diploma or degree in Drafting, Architecture, or related field
- 2–3 years of experience in landscape or architectural drafting
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD
- Basic knowledge of landscaping elements (plants, irrigation, paving, levels)
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with UAE projects and authority submissions
- Knowledge of SketchUp, Lumion, or Revit
- Understanding of irrigation systems and softscape/hardscape detailing
