Laptop Category Lead!
As a full-time
Category Lead, you will own and drive the performance of a defined product category across our e-commerce platforms. Your primary responsibility will be to maximize sales growth, ensure product availability, and deliver a competitive and seamless customer experience. You will leverage data insights, market trends, and cross-functional collaboration to optimize pricing, assortment, and visibility, while enhancing the end-to-end customer journey. You will be expected to continuously improve category performance by balancing commercial objectives with operational excellence and delivering measurable business results.
Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Execute onboarding and item set up process to make sure products are available and ready to sell
- Execute customer's attraction plan to assure they can easily browse and find the products they want.
- Develop navigation experience (browse/search) by managing and enhancing product attributes and taxonomy
- Attract customers through compelling messaging and visual merchandising.
- Manage item and category pages including product imagery, rating reviews, basic and enhanced content
- Optimize item and category pricing, providing competitive pricing for B.TECH customers.
- Initiate product promotions and benchmark competitors
- Work cross-functionally to ensure customers receive their products quickly and efficiently.
- Create a cohesive experience between online shopping and the physical product
- Conduct regular analysis of category performance, identifying key trends and improvement opportunities
- Work with cross-functional teams (across marketing, product and supply chain) to execute initiatives to optimize category performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 4-7 years of experience in e-commerce, category management, retail, or a similar commercial role.
- Hands-on experience managing the laptops category or similar consumer electronics products is a must.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable plans.
- Proven experience in managing product categories, pricing strategies, and promotions.
- Good understanding of e-commerce platforms, online merchandising, and customer journey optimization.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
