Job Summary;
We are currently hiring a Lead Civil Construction Engineer (Substations) to join our team and lead civil works execution across high-voltage substation projects, ensuring delivery on time, within quality standards, and in full compliance with HSE requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all civil construction activities for HV/MV substation projects (foundations, buildings, cable trenches, roads, drainage, etc.).
- Supervise contractors and site teams to ensure work execution meets approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Coordinate with electrical, planning, QA/QC, and HSE teams to ensure smooth site progress.
- Review civil method statements, ITPs, risk assessments, and ensure proper implementation on-site.
- Monitor daily site progress and prepare reports, forecasts, and manpower/equipment plans.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE standards and site safety requirements.
- Manage inspections, material approvals, and handover documentation.
- Support project management in resolving site technical issues, claims, and variations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
- 8–12 years of experience in civil construction, with strong exposure to substation projects.
- Proven experience leading site execution teams and subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of civil scope in substations (earthworks, concrete works, buildings, drainage, trenching, fencing, etc.).
- Familiar with project documentation, ITPs, method statements, and quality standards.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
