JobResponsibilities:

  • The role is managerial in essence and requires strong leadership skills as well as an understandingin media industry and post-production workflows.
  • Create digital media deliverables and packages in multiple formats for film and television content.
  • Perform technical tasks related to video and audio editorial, including transcoding, encoding, frame rate conversions, and video repairs/restoration.
  • Ensure quality control by conducting testing, identifying discrepancies in media files, and performing audio conforming/retiming.
  • Reformat and manage subtitles and metadata, including XML creation/editorial.
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and training programs for junior team members to enhance their skills and support their professional growth.
  • Lead the team by making impactful decisions, conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and resolving conflicts.
  • Proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the success of projects and operations.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and ability to plan complex projects with urgency
  • Collaborate across multiple business lines to identify process improvements and contribute to the evolution of workflows.
  • Track project progress to ensure they stay on schedule, meet milestones, and align with overall goals.
  • Use Microsoft 365 tools to create presentations, production plans, and other documentation.
  • Present, demonstrate, and train others in systems, tools, and workflows.

Requirements

  • Requirements:
    • Excellent proficiency in English, both written and spoken, with strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
    • Professional experience in video/film editing, technical post-production workflow, or promo production preferred.
    • Experience with editing, conversion, and quality assurance testing for films and episodic content.
    • Hands-on experience with tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve, and Pro Tools.
    • Strong knowledge of video mezzanine formats, audio, metadata, subtitles, closed captions, and artwork.
    • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in media files during the creation and calibration of production reference files.
    • Familiarity with creating and reviewing metadata deliverables in XML and JSON formats.
    • Ability to operate under high-pressure situations and handle time-sensitive content.
    • Experience in mentoring and training junior team members, and leading initiatives for professional development.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities with the ability to offer leadership and process improvement suggestions.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 for creating presentations and production-related documentation.
    • Ability to train others and clearly present systems, tools, and workflows.
