Your Role
As Lead Industrial Coating Engineer, you will:
- Lead and supervise all industrial coating activities within the fabrication yard, including surface preparation, painting, insulation and fireproofing.
- Ensure coating operations are carried out in accordance with approved ITPs, method statements, project specifications, and international standards.
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE requirements, environmental regulations, and company safety procedures.
- Coordinate with QA/QC, engineering, and production teams to resolve technical issues and manage inspection activities.
- Monitor coating progress, productivity, and quality, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Oversee inspection and testing activities such as surface preparation checks, DFT measurements, adhesion tests, and fireproofing thickness verification.
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly coating progress reports and maintain accurate documentation.
What We're Looking For
- Experience: Minimum 18 years of experience in industrial coating works, with extensive exposure to Oil & Gas EPC fabrication projects.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Materials Engineering or related Engineering discipline)
- Expertise: Strong knowledge of industrial coating systems, surface preparation methods, painting systems, insulation and fireproofing. In-depth understanding of international standards such as NACE, SSPC, ISO, and relevant project specifications. Proven leadership and supervisory experience in fabrication yard environments. Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict project deadlines.
