Lead Infrastructure/Water Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, and coordination of infrastructure and water systems, including roads, grading, drainage, water supply, wastewater, and utility networks for coastal and marine development projects.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, client requirements, and sustainability best practices.
• Manage infrastructure components of large-scale coastal projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, schedule, and quality expectations.
• Coordinate design milestones, resource allocation, and technical reviews across multidisciplinary teams.
• Review and validate engineering deliverables, including design reports, hydraulic calculations, layout drawings, and specifications.
• Provide expert input throughout all project phases, from concept and feasibility to detailed design and construction support.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for infrastructure-related matters with clients, local authorities, and utility providers.
• Participate in design presentations, technical meetings, and permit submissions as required.
• Ensure that infrastructure designs comply with all applicable local and international regulatory requirements, including drainage, environmental, and utility standards.
• Support the preparation of permit applications and environmental documentation.
• Provide technical assistance during construction, including reviewing contractor submittals, responding to RFIs, and conducting site inspections as needed.
• Ensure that infrastructure works are executed according to design intent and industry best practices.
• Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in all technical documentation.
• Ensure proper documentation, version control, and adherence to internal QA/QC procedures.
• Mentor engineers and CAD designers in civil and water infrastructure design.
• Foster a collaborative and technically driven team environment.
• Integrate sustainable design principles into infrastructure solutions, including low-impact development (LID), climate resilience, and energy-efficient systems.
• Promote the use of innovative technologies and tools to improve design quality and delivery efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master's Degree in Science Coastal, Marine or Civil Engineering, or equivalent
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in the design and construction of large marine infrastructure
