Lead- Joinery - Furniture Manufacturing

1. JOB PURPOSE

This role will be responsible for supervising and coordinating CNC routing operations and carpentry activities to ensure high-quality, timely, and efficient production of furniture components. Moreover, combining technical expertise with leadership to bridge modern CNC processes and traditional craftsmanship, ensuring product accuracy and consistency.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE/ TRAINING/ TECHNICAL SKILLS

Qualifications and Education:

• Diploma or technical certification in woodworking, furniture production, or mechanical technology.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and CAD files.
• Strong understanding of wood types, joinery, and furniture construction methods.
• Good communication, team management, and problem-solving skills.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in CNC machining and carpentry.
• At least 1–2 years in a leadership role.
• Hands-on experience with CNC software (e.g., VCarve, ArtCAM, AutoCAD, or similar).

1. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise CNC operators and carpentry teams to meet daily production targets and ensure efficient, safe workflow.
• Review CAD/CAM files, oversee CNC programming, setup, and execution, and optimize machine performance (nesting, cutting paths, uptime).
• Monitor finished parts for precision and compliance, approve prototypes, and maintain high craftsmanship standards for all wooden components and assemblies.
• Provide expert training and technical guidance to the team on CNC usage, woodworking tools, and assembly methods.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to machinery, tooling, materials, and production processes.
• Liaise with design and production teams to interpret technical drawings and clarify specifications.
• Enforce strict quality control procedures, ensure adherence to project timelines, and rigorously uphold safety protocols and a clean work environment.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports, monitoring progress and tracking quality metrics.
