Lead Planning Engineer

Are you a strategic planner with a passion for delivering complex projects on time and on budget We are looking for an experienced Lead Planning Engineer to take ownership of planning and scheduling across multiple high‑value projects in civil, marine, power, oil & gas, and plant sectors.

YOUR ROLE

As a Lead Planning Engineer, you will oversee end‑to‑end project planning and scheduling activities, lead a planning team, collaborate closely with project stakeholders, and provide accurate reporting to support informed decision‑making. This is a key leadership role within the project controls function.

  • Lead the development and management of master project schedules across all phases (design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover).
  • Manage baseline, critical path, and resource‑loaded schedules in EPC environments.
  • Monitor progress and performance using Earned Value Analysis (EVA) and forecasting tools.
  • Identify, analyse, and mitigate schedule and resource risks, including development of contingency plans.
  • Provide clear, timely reporting on schedule performance, milestones, delays, and recovery actions.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure full compliance with contractual, regulatory, and company planning standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of planning engineers to drive continuous improvement.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience of planning & scheduling experience, including minimum 3 years in a leadership/supervisory role.Proven track record in EPC projects across oil & gas, civil, marine, power, or plant sectors.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
  • Expertise: Strong knowledge of project controls, critical path analysis, resource management, and risk management. Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project
