The Role

As a Spa Lead Therapist, you will oversee the daily operations of the therapy team, ensuring the delivery of world-class treatments while maintaining the highest standards of guest satisfaction and wellbeing. You will also provide guidance, training, and support to junior therapists, ensuring that all spa services are performed with the utmost professionalism and in alignment with the resort's luxurious standards. Your expertise and leadership will directly influence the overall success of the spa and wellness operations.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Please note that the responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive. Red Sea Global Hospitality employees continuously innovate in caring for the needs of the business, their guests, and their colleagues. As a Spa Lead Therapist, you will need to:

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of therapists, ensuring high standards of service, treatment execution, and guest care are consistently maintained.
  • Provide a range of high-quality spa treatments to guests, including massages, facials, body wraps, and specialty therapies, ensuring a personalized and luxurious experience.
  • Conduct regular training and development sessions for the therapy team to enhance skills, improve performance, and ensure consistent treatment quality.
  • Perform performance appraisals for therapists, providing constructive feedback and offering support for continuous improvement and growth.
  • Ensure that all treatments are performed in line with Red Sea Global's service standards, safety guidelines, and operational procedures.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of all spa services, products, and treatments, ensuring that all team members are well-informed and can recommend services to guests effectively.
  • Oversee the guest consultation process to understand their specific needs, preferences, and any special requirements, ensuring a customized and exceptional experience.
  • Monitor and maintain spa treatment rooms to ensure they are always clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure therapists adhere to hygiene and safety standards at all times, ensuring the spa environment remains pristine and safe for both guests and team members.
  • Collaborate with the Spa Manager to develop and implement new spa treatments, packages, and seasonal offerings to enhance guest experiences and generate revenue.
  • Handle guest complaints or concerns related to therapies and treatments with professionalism, resolving any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, innovative therapies, and wellness practices, incorporating new knowledge into treatment offerings and team training.
  • Manage and maintain the inventory of spa products, ensuring stock levels are sufficient, and liaising with the Spa Manager for any procurement requirements.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of guest treatments, including health assessments, preferences, and any special requests, to provide a personalized experience during repeat visits.
  • Assist in the scheduling of therapist shifts, ensuring appropriate coverage at all times to meet guest demand while managing team workloads effectively.
  • Participate in the creation and implementation of marketing and promotional strategies to drive treatment bookings, enhance guest experiences, and increase revenue.
  • Support the Spa Manager in monitoring performance metrics, including guest feedback, treatment volumes, and overall revenue, to ensure the spa's goals are being met.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional team environment that promotes teamwork and high morale within the therapy team.
  • Ensure that all therapists maintain and renew required certifications in massage, skincare, and other relevant therapies as necessary.
  • Uphold and promote the resort's ethos and core values, leading by example and promoting a culture of excellence, respect, and passion for guest service.
  • Participate in spa-related events, wellness programs, and special promotions to support the resort's overall wellness offerings.
  • Maintain confidentiality and respect guest privacy in all aspects of therapy and treatment procedures.
