Job Description

The Automotive Leasing Sales Manager is responsible for identifying and acquiring new car leasing clients, managing key accounts, and developing strategies to expand the company's market share in the leasing industry. The role requires a deep understanding of the car leasing business, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to meet and exceed sales targets.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Market Research & Analysis:

Conduct market research to identify potential clients, sectors, and markets for leasing opportunities.

Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to develop strategic plans.

2. Sales & Business Development:

Develop and implement sales strategies to acquire new clients and increase revenue.

Identify, target, and convert prospects into long-term customers.

Prepare and present proposals, contracts, and lease agreements to potential clients.

Negotiate terms of lease agreements and close deals.

3. Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.

Act as the main point of contact for key accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Develop and implement client retention strategies.

4. Networking & Partnerships:

Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build the company's brand and expand the client base.

Develop strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders, such as equipment manufacturers, financial institutions, and other leasing companies.

5. Reporting & Performance Management:

Track and report on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback.

Set and monitor sales targets, ensuring alignment with the company's overall objectives.

Prepare regular reports for senior management on business development activities and outcomes.

6. Product Development & Customization:

Work with the product team to develop and customize leasing products that meet market demands.

Provide insights into customer needs and preferences to guide product development.

7. Compliance & Risk Management:

Ensure all leasing activities comply with legal, regulatory, and company standards.

Assess and mitigate risks associated with lease agreements and client relationships.

8. Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and finance teams to ensure cohesive business development strategies.

Provide guidance and support to junior sales staff and other team members.

9. Budgets and Financials:

Monitor and control budget of the department/business unit.

Review and continuously update the financial tracking mechanisms and measurements in compliance with standard accounting principles.

10. People Responsibility:

Define goals for team members and evaluates performance as per the Elite Group performance management process.

Provide feedback and coaching on an ongoing basis.

Identify training and development needs of the Department/Unit to ensure ongoing capability development.

Provide guidance and ensure transparent communication to manage career aspiration.

11. Self-Management:

Set performance goals at the beginning of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensure that the goals are achieved during the course of the year.

Strive to achieve the highest levels of proficiency on all competencies and skills required to perform the role.

Identify the training and development requirements for self to ensure on going capability development.

12. Health, Safety and Environment:

Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.

13. Policies and Processes:

Provide inputs and suggestions for the continuous improvement of Department/Unit practices taking into account external and internal/ group level best practices to improve efficiency and effectively manage changes in business environment.

Manage the development, implementation and regular review of the Department/Unit policies, procedures and systems to ensure consistent and systematic application of best practices providing timely and effective support to concerned users.
