Faculty of Engineering and Materials Science (EMS) is seeking a highly qualified and motivated candidate to join the Department of Design and Production program. We invite applications for a full-time academic position in the field of Manufacturing Engineering at the rank of Lecturer or Associate Professor, depending on qualifications and experience.

Position Summary:

The successful applicant will contribute to teaching, research, and service activities within the Design and Production Department, with a specialization in Manufacturing Engineering. Applicants are expected to have strong expertise in both traditional and advanced manufacturing technologies, and demonstrate familiarity with contemporary developments in the field, including but not limited to:

• Smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0
• Applications of Artificial Intelligence in manufacturing
• Sustainable manufacturing practices
• Additive manufacturing and digital fabrication

Qualifications Required:

• A Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Manufacturing Engineering or a closely related field from a recognized and reputable university.
• A strong teaching record at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
• A demonstrated research track record with publications in reputable, peer-reviewed journals.
• Experience in securing or participating in funded research projects is an asset.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to academic excellence and innovation in teaching and research.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to manufacturing and mechanical engineering.
• Supervise student projects and theses.
• Conduct high-quality research and publish in reputable international journals.
• Engage in curriculum development and continuous improvement of teaching materials.
• Contribute to departmental and university service activities.
• Foster partnerships with industry and participate in interdisciplinary research initiatives.
