A leading organisation in Dubai is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Legal function.
Your new role
This role reports directly to the General Counsel and provides strategic legal support across a diverse hospitality portfolio, covering the full lifecycle of hotel development, operations, franchising, and asset management.
This is a highimpact position partnering closely with Hospitality Development, Operations, Finance, HR, Procurement, and other key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of hospitality agreements, including, Hotel Management Agreements (HMAs), Technical Services Agreements (TSAs), Franchise agreements and Lease agreements,
- Support procurementrelated contracts (OS&E/FF&E) and development/JV documentation.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations relating to hospitality, licensing, tourism, data protection, and consumer protection.
- Advise on corporate governance, group structure, and hospitalityrelated real estate transactions.
- Lead legal due diligence for acquisitions, sales, and new development projects.
- Liaise with external counsel, authorities, and regulatory bodies for registrations and formalities.
- Manage disputes involving operators, vendors, landlords, and employees through negotiation, mediation, or arbitration.
- Develop and enhance contract templates, policies, and riskmitigation frameworks.
- Support internal audit processes and compliance investigations.
- Provide legal guidance on branding, franchising, and market expansion initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB or equivalent); admission to practice in a recognised jurisdiction.
- Minimum 8 years postqualification experience, with significant exposure to the hospitality sector.
- Solid understanding of GCC legal frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholdermanagement skills.
