Job Summary
K2 is seeking a Legal Counsel with relevant experience to support K2, its data centre business. This role is based in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities
. Providing legal support and assessing legal risk in respect of a broad range of matters, projects and regulatory, compliance and corporate governance-related issues, for K2's global business plans, operations and undertakings.
. Drafting, reviewing and negotiating legal and transactional documentation such as customer colocation service agreements, construction and procurement contracts, land purchase agreements and leases, electricity supply agreements and power purchase agreements, joint venture agreements, financing agreements, security agreements, consultancy agreements, and other general commercial and operational contracts with varying levels of complexity.
. Engaging/liaising with external lawyers where required, and managing associated legal expenditure.
. Formulating, developing and implementing process-oriented improvements and risk/knowledge management initiatives, such as model contracts and clauses, contracting principles/policies, precedent databases, standard procedures and checklists, and other tools.
. Overseeing the implementation of critical compliance policies, procedures and training.
Required Education & Qualifications
. Preferably at least 10 to 15 years post-qualification experience within the, data centre, technology, telecommunications, or energy industry(s) or sector(s), with corporate/M&A or regulatory and compliance experience, from a top-tier law firm or corporate in-house legal department.
