The Opportunity

We are seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our team as Legal Director. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Legal Affairs. This represents an excellent opportunity to play a critical role in managing Core42's commercial contracts and collaborate and coordinate closely with Core42's primary functions, while being part of a dynamic, high-performing, and collaborative team that fosters a positive and supportive team environment.

• Ability to draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including but not limited to, supply/purchase agreements, service agreements, sponsorship agreements, lease agreements and employment-related agreements.
• Provide sound legal advice on a broad range of commercial and contractual matters.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Core42's human capital, procurement, marketing, facilities, and finance teams, to understand and cater to the company's general legal needs.
• Promote legal, compliance and risk management best practice throughout the company.

What we're looking for

Required skills / qualifications

• Qualified lawyer in a Common Law jurisdiction or the US, with preference for candidates that are qualified under the laws of England and Wales.
• Minimum of 8 years of post-qualification experience in commercial law
• Excellent knowledge of transaction processes, commercial acumen, and a robust understanding of the law.
• Strong knowledge of the laws of England and Wales, ADGM law and UAE companies law.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to be an effective team player and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent supervisory skills with experience in mentoring and developing junior lawyers.
