Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law.
- Relevant certifications in shipping, logistics, or maritime operations are an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in shipping container claims, cargo claims, or maritime claims handling in the UAE or in home country. (Required)
- Experience working with shipping lines, freight forwarding, logistics companies, or container leasing companies is preferred.
- Practical knowledge of container damage assessment, claim investigation, and claims resolution.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Maritime Law and shipping industry regulations.
- Understanding of cargo and container claims procedures, insurance, and liability.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in preparing claim documentation, reports, and correspondence.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and claims management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple claims while meeting deadlines.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
