Job Summary

The Legal Manager will lead and establish the legal function within a sports-focused organization, providing hands-on legal leadership across contract management, labor advisory, and regulatory compliance. The role is responsible for building the legal team and frameworks from the ground up, ensuring legally sound operations while supporting business growth and day-to-day decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Establish and build the Legal function, including defining processes, policies, and governance, and leading the legal team.

- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of commercial, operational, and service contracts, ensuring legal accuracy and risk mitigation.

- Provide expert labor law and employment advisory, including employee relations, disciplinary actions, grievances, terminations, and compliance with applicable labor regulations.

- Act as a trusted legal partner to leadership by providing clear, practical legal guidance aligned with business and operational needs.

- Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and contractual risks related to sports operations and business activities.

- Oversee coordination with external legal counsel when required and manage legal matters efficiently.

- Monitor changes in labor and commercial laws, assess their impact, and ensure timely updates to contracts and internal practices.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Law.

- Minimum 8 years of legal experience, including proven leadership or team-building experience.

- Demonstrated expertise in contract drafting, review, and negotiation.

- Strong background in labor law advisory and employment matters.

- Experience within sports, fitness, or consumer-facing industries is an advantage.
