We are preparing a leading Kuwait-based group for listing on Boursa Kuwait. The lawyer who joins now will be central to that process — and will own the legal function that carries the company through it and beyond.
This is not a support role. There is no senior legal lawyer above you. You will be the senior legal voice in the room.
What you will actually be doing
The work spans three areas that will run in parallel throughout the IPO preparation period and into listed-company life.
First, corporate and governance — leading all legal workstreams tied to the listing, including entity restructuring, board and shareholder documentation, CMA Kuwait compliance, and Boursa Kuwait listing requirements. You will work directly with the Chairman, Board, and external advisors.
Second, commercial — owning the drafting and negotiation of the agreements that run a multi-country operation: supplier contracts, technology arrangements, partnership structures, and expansion deals across Kuwait, KSA, and the UAE.
Third, regulatory — advising senior leadership across GCC jurisdictions, managing external counsel relationships, and partnering with Compliance and Internal Audit on the governance framework being built for listing.
Who fits this role
You have a strong corporate or commercial legal foundation — whether that came from a top regional or international firm, or from an in-house role at a listed or complex operational company. What matters more than where you trained is whether you can operate without a safety net: advising the Chairman directly, making calls under pressure, and translating legal risk into language that drives decisions rather than delays them.
Kuwait market knowledge and Arabic fluency are non-negotiable. GCC experience is a strong advantage.
You have at least ten years behind you and you are ready for a role where the outcome of your advice is visible — at board level and in the business.
Why this is the right move
Very few Legal Manager roles in Kuwait place a lawyer at the center of an IPO process with direct board access and no senior legal layer above them. This one does. The scope is genuine — multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction, high-stakes — and the role becomes the permanent legal leadership seat of a public company after listing.
If you are in a firm and have been waiting for the right moment to move in-house, this is a more compelling entry point than most. If you are already in-house and looking for broader scope and higher visibility, this is a step up.
Kuwait-based. Arabic and English fluency required.
