Level 2 IT Systems Engineer

Role Description:

Level 2 IT Systems Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining the company website and document management system via SharePoint or a propriety system, and supporting the Manager ITC's strategy/digital roadmap across all KSA operations. The role ensures that 2nd level support is provided for all ITC services, systems and infrastructure effectively support corporate, project and field-based users across all locations, while operating in accordance with Company ITC standards and applicable KSA regulatory and cybersecurity requirements. The role is key to supporting the Manager, ITC and all users minimizing technology risk, ensuring operational readiness and enabling safe, secure and efficient project delivery.

This role requires very limited travel to field and operational locations across KSA to support business operations, assess end user requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

ICT Document Management System (DMS)

• Develop and execute a DMS strategy and support the digital roadmap for business mobilization, operational readiness and long-term organizational objectives
• Assist in promoting the IT-as-a-Service culture across the organization, ensuring a customer-focused, responsive and value-driven approach to technology service delivery for all users

Support Manager, ITC

• Assist the ITC Manager with their responsibilities and tasks
• Carry out instructions and assignments given by the Manager, ITC and other MEC managers
• Help coordinate and manage IT/ICT support activities
• Support the manager with technical issues, projects, reports, and service delivery for the organization
• Take responsibility for specific tasks or projects delegated
• Act as back-to-back ITC Manager when ITC Manager is on rostered leave as required

ITC Governance

• Assist establishing and maintaining appropriate cybersecurity, data governance, business continuity and ITC risk controls
• Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable KSA regulatory, cybersecurity, data protection, Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and localization requirements

Partnerships

• Support and maintain strong relationships with KSA leadership and business functions to understand, prioritize and deliver technology requirements
• Support and maintain effective relationships with ITC vendors, suppliers and strategic technology partners, ensuring performance, service quality and commercial value

Identify Technology Gaps

• Proactively anticipate technology requirements, identify capability and infrastructure gaps, and implement solutions to mitigate risks and support business growth

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience implementing and managing Document Management Systems (DMS) in a mining or exploration company of similar size and complexity
• Proven experience leading the development, implementation, creation, and ongoing maintenance of a DMS
• Proven experience providing Level 2 IT Systems Engineer support for a wide range of company user requirements and technical issues

Qualifications:

Mandatory

• Diploma or Degree in ITC

Desirable

• HTML4 and CSS qualifications — Knowledge or formal training in basic web development
• Backend Node.js, SQL, MongoDB, Rest API

Functional & Technical Skills:

• Strong web development, DMS programming, and system administration skills
• Strong Level 2 IT support and technical troubleshooting abilities
• Good knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, data protection, recovery, and restoration processes
• Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to identify root causes, resolve technical issues, and determine appropriate escalation pathways
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive approach to improving IT systems, processes, and service delivery
• Strong communication, training, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to support users and promote effective technology adoption
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills, including maintaining ITC system documentation, configurations, assets, procedures, and technical records
• Ability to support the Manager, ITC with ITC operations, projects, technical issues, and other assigned responsibilities

Work Location & Travel

• The role is Jeddah head office based with very limited site trips to understand and support end user requirements.
