Job Description

Location: Al Makhtoum Airport - DWC, Dubai

In your role, you will

  • Troubleshoots, repairs, inspects and performs maintenance on customer aircraft
  • Performs and documents all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
  • Be able to train, coach and support other employees
  • Perform complete engine runs as required
  • Perform complex repairs on aircraft systems
  • Supervise Mechanics when carrying out maintenance tasks, and determine that relevant tasks or inspections have been carried out to the required standard
  • Release maintenance tasks that are performed by him-/herself or under his supervision for which he/she is trained and authorized
  • Sign off base maintenance tasks that are performed by him-/herself or under his/her supervision, in support of Certifying Staff
  • Perform maintenance at off-site locations
  • Assist when providing time estimates

As our ideal candidate,

  • You hold an GCAA and/or EASA Part 66 Aircraft Technician License: B2.
  • B1 is an asset
  • You are type-rated on relevant Bombardier Business Aircraft Type including; Challenger and Global series.
  • You have managed and led teams of Aircraft Licensed Technicians and Mechanics.
  • You have up to date basic knowledge requirements of Appendix I to Part-66
  • You have basic knowledge of Part-M, Part-145 and any other relevant regulations.
  • You have operated as a senior licensed aircraft technician, taking ownership of complex maintenance assignments, signing off aircraft to ensure airworthiness, and mentoring junior colleagues, with a minimum of 8+ years of experience.
  • You have knowledge on, and practicing of, human factors, human performance and limitations
  • You have knowledge on EWIS and CDCCL when relevant
  • You have the ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings
  • You are able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual task and / or aircraft status
  • You are highly proficient in using standard tools, special tools and operate ground support equipment
  • You have the ability to work in accordance with the maintenance data and to notify the function responsible of defects or mistakes requiring rectification to re-establish required maintenance standards
  • Able to work in shifts including 4 on 4 off, and occasional night shifts ( if required).
  • Able to travel for business needs on a short notice
