Role Objective:
- The Microsoft Licensing & SAM Lead Analyst is responsible for leading and managing Microsoft Software Asset Management (SAM) activities, True-Up processes, and licensing compliance engagements across assigned accounts.
- The role serves as the central focal point for Microsoft licensing governance, ensuring full understanding and control of Microsoft licensing models (on-premises and cloud), including SQL Server, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, and Azure offerings.
- The primary objective of the role is to manage the SAM team, oversee SAM ELB reporting, identify licensing gaps, build and maintain the True-Up pipeline, manage customer baselines, and ensure accurate daily licensing operations including order placement and invoice processing.
- Microsoft SAM Certified specialist.
- Understands Microsoft Office 365 Offering
- Understands the difference between Microsoft cloud productivity packages
- Familiar with Microsoft Azure offering.
- Understands the Azure consumption criteria.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or Equivalent & MS certificates in licensing

Professional Experience
- Minimum 4–6 years of experience in Microsoft licensing and SAM management
- Bilingual preferred
- Strong practical knowledge of:
- Microsoft Enterprise Agreements (EA)True-Up process and lifecycle
- Microsoft SQL and Windows Server licensing
- Microsoft 365 licensing structures
- Azure consumption and billing models
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft licensing portals and inventory tools
- Proven experience in preparing licensing baselines, inventory reports, and gap analysis
- Experience managing teams or leading SAM engagements
- Strong operational knowledge of order processing and invoicing cycle
