Ellevo-Q is a long term joint venture partnership between Ellevo Group and Petrofac Qatar (Petro-Q).
We are actively seeking a Lifting & Rigging Superintendent to support one of our projects in Doha. The role shall be site based in Ras Laffan, with occasional office visits in Doha.
** Please note, these roles are currently for candidates based in Qatar, with the right to work in Qatar **
Responsibilities
- Responsible for heavy lifting and transport activities within the project planning & execution phase.
- Provision of technical consultancy services to the lifting and transport industry.
- Review and approval of sub-contractor lift plans.
- Provide advise and feasibility studies in relation to mechanical handling solutions.
- Improve quality and efficiency of the planning and management of lifting and transport operations.
- Understand the requirements of legislation, regulations and codes of practice that relate to all types of lifting operations.
- Support Mechanical Completion & Ready For Commission status. (SME for all Lifting activities)
- Manage the construction contractors assuring technical compliance and quality standards are achieved.
- Front line responsibility for contractors HSSE performance, meeting customers minimum standards and Compliance with HSE execution plan.
- Participate and carry out constructability reviews.
Skills / Experience:
- Degree qualified with experience within a technical engineering discipline.
- Experience of working with AutoCAD/Solidworks
- Significant Heavy Lift experience of working in various heavy industry sectors both on/offshore
- Experience of large-scale lift & shift (engineered movement) operations
- Problem solving and creative thinking.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Demonstration of successful participation within international teams
In addition to the list of requirements above, it is also desirable that they have experience in the following:
- Jacking & Skidding Operations
- SPMT Operations
- Swept Path Analysis and Route Planning
- Roll On/Roll Off Operations
Minimum Requirements:
- Appointed Person (CPCS or LEEA)
- Experience in heavy lift and transport projects
- AutoCAD proficient
- Must have the right to work in State of Qatar. (Sponsorship will be considered for the right candidates)
