Job Description

Job Summary:

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to TGI Fridays brand standards, recipes, and presentation guidelines. The role ensures consistent food quality, maintains hygiene standards, and supports smooth kitchen operations in a high-volume casual dining environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and portion control guidelines
  • Operate assigned station (Grill, Fryer, Pantry, or Hot Line) efficiently during service
  • Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation
  • Maintain proper food storage and labeling procedures
  • Follow HACCP and food safety standards
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and kitchen equipment
  • Monitor food quality and freshness
  • Report any equipment malfunction or stock shortages to the supervisor
  • Support inventory control and minimize food waste
  • Follow instructions from Chef/Supervisor

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 23 years of experience as Line Cook / Commis I / Demi Chef
  • Must have experience in:

a. Casual dining restaurant or hotel casual dining concepts

b. High-volume service environment

c. American or Western cuisine (preferred)

d. Branded restaurant operations (advantage)

  • Age between 2030 years old
  • Good English communication skills
  • Currently available in the UAE
