We're looking for a detail-oriented and analytical System Specialist to join our team in Singapore. In this role, you will provide comprehensive Unix/Linux system support, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of our infrastructure. You will be responsible for system administration, troubleshooting, and maintaining our Unix/Linux environments while working efficiently to resolve technical issues and implement system improvements.
- Install, configure, and maintain Unix/Linux operating systems across multiple servers and environments
- Perform system troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Manage user accounts, access controls, and security permissions following organizational policies
- Monitor system performance, analyze logs, and optimize system resources for efficiency
- Execute patch management and system updates while minimizing downtime
- Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate routine administrative tasks
- Provide technical support to end-users and internal teams regarding Unix/Linux systems
- Document system configurations, procedures, and changes in an organized manner
- Collaborate with other IT team members to implement infrastructure improvements
- Respond to and resolve incidents following established protocols and service level agreements
- Perform hardware troubleshooting and coordinate with vendors when necessary
- Ensure compliance with security standards and organizational policies
Qualifications

- Proven experience administering Unix/Linux systems (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, or Debian)
- Strong proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, Ksh, or similar)
- Solid understanding of system performance tuning and optimization
- Experience with user and access management in Unix/Linux environments
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues analytically
- Knowledge of patch management and system update procedures
- Familiarity with log analysis and system monitoring tools
- Basic understanding of network configuration and connectivity
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks
