ROLE PURPOSE
Responsible for performing, supervising, troubleshooting, and certifying aircraft maintenance activities within the scope of a valid B1 Aircraft Maintenance License, ensuring aircraft safety, airworthiness, reliability, and compliance with approved maintenance data and applicable aviation regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform and certify scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance within B1 license privileges.
- Carry out hands-on Base Maintenance inspections, maintenance, defect rectification, and troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, powerplant, and aircraft system defects.
- Perform maintenance in accordance with approved maintenance manuals, technical documentation, and company procedures.
- Conduct inspections and functional checks following maintenance activities.
- Ensure aircraft airworthiness and serviceability requirements are maintained.
- Supervise Aircraft Mechanics and Technicians during maintenance activities.
- Provide technical guidance and on-the-job support to maintenance personnel.
- Complete aircraft maintenance records and technical documentation accurately.
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, safety standards, quality procedures, and approved maintenance practices.
- Support aircraft recovery and operational maintenance activities when required.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Control, Engineering, Quality, and other relevant departments.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
- Valid B1 Aircraft License – MANDATORY.
- License must be issued by EASA / QCAA / ICAO-recognized authority or other accepted aviation authority.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience.
- MANDATORY hands-on Base Maintenance experience.
- Current and valid B1 type rating/certification privileges on the relevant aircraft type.
- Proven experience on commercial aircraft.
- Experience on A320 Family, A350, A380, B777 and/or B787 is highly preferred.
- Recent hands-on aircraft maintenance experience.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft mechanical, electrical, powerplant, and aircraft systems.
- Good knowledge of approved maintenance data, maintenance procedures, and aviation regulations.
- Experience in heavy/base maintenance checks such as C-check, structural inspections, scheduled checks, or major maintenance inputs.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
PREFERRED
- Commercial airline or MRO experience.
- Previous certifying staff experience.
- Experience working with modern Airbus and/or Boeing aircraft.
