The opportunity
Act as business partner to the Local Domestic Sales Unit Project Manager/Project Managers, responsible for all financial and commercial matters and actively driving the project's performance. The individual will be responsible for the DSU project Portfolio in UAE market
How You'll Make An Impact
- Tender stage Reviews and take joint responsibility with Tender Manager on Financial, commercial and tax aspects. Ensures that tender calculation is completed correctly, prepares cash-flow and exposure curve. Participates or provides input during negotiations on contractual terms and conditions (clients, consortia, subcontractors, suppliers). Participates and provides input in local risk review process.
- Project Execution: Prepare a Project Financial Execution Plan (as part of an overall Project Execution Plan covering all financial, commercial and tax aspects such as revenue recognition methods, billing plan, payment securities, consortium administration, import duties and VAT etc.). Is responsible for the correctness of project balance sheet and income statement as well as for cash flow and monthly/quarterly forecast. Guide and Validate project invoice, manages currency risk, tax issues, bonds and guarantees, Revenues and GM contribution together with Project Manager
- Monitoring and review: Establishes project governance process. Participates in opportunity/risk identification, ensure that all required mitigation actions are timely implemented. Drives, co-ordinates and prepares monthly project reviews jointly with the Project Manager. He will have joint responsibility with the Project Manager for all financial aspects of the project including estimate at completion and related cost-to-complete, forecasted Revenues and Cash Flow, Risks and Opportunities assessment and ensure alignment with other functions including Project Controls, planning/scheduling.
- Responsible for Financial Reporting: Deliver monthly closings, forecasts, budgets and full financial packages on time, ensuring accuracy and reliability. Collaborate with key stakeholders and business managers to support operational decision-making. Monitor KPIs to optimize cost structures and improve productivity. Perform quality checks on reporting data, including analytical reviews of major fluctuations and FX impacts. Drive transparency in financial reporting and disclosures. Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and contribute to transformation initiatives.
- Compliance & Internal Control: Follow up on internal project audit reports and ensures timely implementation of all required actions related to projects under responsibility. Adherence to corporate governance, integrity, assurance, internal control, group charter, business specific finance directives and instructions.
Your background
- You have bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, or equivalent with solid finance background, Professional Accounting qualification will be a plus.
- You have experience in Finance with exposure to Project Business.
- You have experience of SAP.
- You have ability to adapt to changing priorities and work under tight deadlines and excellent collaboration and work with cross functional and cross-cultural team.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and challenges.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written and English is required.
